Google was asked if link building too fast, let’s call it quick link building, is a bad thing. If you get too many links, too quickly, that’s something that can hurt you in Google search.
John Mueller of Google said the Twitter “We don’t count links like that.”
The question was “is it possible to link too many to a page for that to become a reason the page is not ranking?” ”
@JohnMu I ask because I read somewhere that if result # 1 has 10 links you can’t make more than 10 or you will stand out as unrealistic.
Can you tell if there is any sense in over-promoting your page?
By the way, I understand if you can’t comment. Thank you anyway !– Nikola Roza (@NikolaRoza) April 19, 2021
John replied that it doesn’t work that way, but if you ask this question he would be concerned with the way you link. He said, “In general, I would be cautious of ‘linking’ if it involved you linking yourself, as those would be considered unnatural and against our guidelines.”
We don’t count links like that.
That said, in general, I would be cautious about “linking” if it involves you making the links yourself, as those would be considered unnatural and against our guidelines.
